Supporting children with anxiety

Children

Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress. Everybody experiences anxiety from time to time, even kids.

Parents, guardians, and other caring adults may become concerned when children experience feelings of excessive fear or anxiety out of proportion to the situation or inappropriate to their age.

This issue of Partners Post will help you identify common signs of anxiety in children and what to do if you observe those signs in the kids in your life. We also have a new easy-to-read handout all about how you can support children with anxiety at www.partnersforpubliced.org/anxiety.
